Planting Faith in the Church of Tomorrow

What does it mean to truly be part of a church community rather than just coasting through it? This message challenges us to examine whether our faith is like plastic flowers -- beautiful on the surface but bearing no real fruit -- or whether it is rooted deeply enough to feed and sustain others. Drawing on Jesus's own words in John 15:16, where he calls us to bear fruit that lasts, we are invited to ask ourselves what it looks like to move from passive observers to active participants in something far bigger than ourselves. The message explores how the church, when it functions as it was designed to, is not a well-oiled machine or a corporate enterprise, but a living community of people called out from one way of life and into another with genuine purpose. The Greek word for church, ecclesia, meaning the called-out ones, reminds us that belonging to the body of Christ is never passive. We have been rescued from something and sent toward something, and that calling demands a response.
