The Why

What does it mean to truly be shaped for a purpose? This message brings us face to face with one of the most searching questions we can ask ourselves as followers of Christ: are we multiplying what God has entrusted to us, or are we quietly burying it? Drawing from the parable of the talents in Matthew 25, we are invited to examine the difference between faithful stewardship and the kind of fearful inaction that Jesus himself called wicked. The sobering truth is that doing nothing with what we have been given is not a neutral choice. It is a decision. And it is a decision to keep for ourselves what was never meant to be kept. As we reflect on the growth we have seen in our own community, from a missions budget that has grown nearly ninefold to a church increasingly engaged in local and global outreach, we are reminded that ordinary people who simply make themselves available to God can produce extraordinary results. This message calls us to move from being spectators to being stewards, recognizing that grace did not make us passive observers of God's work but active participants in it.
