Ministry
In this sermon on ministry, we're challenged to reframe our understanding of what it means to serve God. The central message revolves around trusting that ministry is happening through us as followers of Jesus, rather than something we simply 'do'. Drawing from Luke 6:12-19, we see Jesus demonstrating the perfect balance of solitude, community, and ministry. The key insight is that ministry flows naturally from our connection to Christ, not from our own efforts or abilities. This perspective is liberating! It reminds us that we don't need to have all the answers or solve every problem. Instead, our role is to be present, show compassion, and trust that Jesus is working through us. This message encourages us to live with gratitude and compassion, allowing God's power to flow through our lives in ways we might not even realize. It's a call to release our need for control and trust in the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit within us.
